Consultation

Once you have filled out the questionnaire of the design and style assessment, we schedule a two hours consultation in your space in order to define the scope of work focusing on your needs, challenges and needs.

We will walk through every room and listen to your thoughts and get an idea of your lifestyle, material preferences and how your daily routine looks like. We explain the design process and speak about the project timeline.

Topis that might be discussed but not put into design material at this point could be:

• colors

• window treatments

• lighting ideas

• storage

• furniture treatment

• styling ideas

This preliminary consultation will help to get to know each other and initiate the creative and functional design process all while communicating with each other without any design material at this stage.

Fee Proposal and Design Agreement

Fee Proposal and Design Agreement

When embarking with you in this journey of designing your space we will carefully assess your needs together with the evaluated time and resources required to finalize it, we prepare a detailed Design Fee Estimate Proposal and Agreement for your review. Here we lay out the scope of work for the entire project, our design goals, the estimated design fee, the terms of payment, the estimated timeline and the terms and conditions.

Once you have approved and signed the Fee Proposal and Agreement of Terms and paid the initial advance on our design fee, we start the project. At this stage there will not yet be delivered any Design Plan or Design Presentation, which will be developed after the document and the advance on design fee is paid.

Site Measure and Planning Day

With the architectural plans we go and measure, plan and document your space, take pictures, and spot design elements in order to get a feel of the space and understand the flow of movement. If you have your own contractors, you are invited to have them join this meeting in order to discuss their ideas and challenges.

Concept Development, Sourcing, Researching

Now we start sketching and planning on paper. The initial needs and ideas we discussed with you at the consultation are being transformed into a full design plan. This is where we draw on our vast skills and resources that will answer your needs and solve the challenges and limitations of the space. 

We develop these concepts through a thorough plan review, creating 2D and, sketches, and color schemes.

We also source all materials, fixtures, and furnishings.

During this step we are happy to work with the trades people you hire to gather quotes and estimates which we can include in the initial budget, which is also developed during this step.

Presentation, Budget, Revision  & Follow Up Presentation

With all the family we meet with you to go over the details of your custom design plan. This includes all floor plans, elevations, color scheme, presentation boards, material samples, furniture selections and budget breakdown. 

We believe that this is the opportunity to show you the full potential of your space, and the best option that we believe will address your needs and desires. 

​A follow up Presentation Meeting, which is the Final Presentation Meeting is sometimes needed if revisions were requested. This involves all the approved elements from the original Design Presentation, plus any new elements that were agreed upon and any revisions requested.

We believe in a collaboration between client and designer and this presentation will address all of your wants and needs, as well as our expert vision for your project, based on previous meetings and discussions. 

The Final Presentation includes concept drawings that you can provide to the trades you hire to carry out the work, color schemes, all furnishings, fabric memos - item by item. It will all be laid out for you so that you will be able to visualize what the finished space will look like. Any adjustments to the budget due to revisions are agreed upon at this meeting.
